The four energy-efficient-learning challenges the group runs in parallel.
The group runs four challenges at once, each in its own repo with its own leaderboard. The cost is measured as data movement, not raw accuracy.
- Challenge #1: Sparse parity. The original benchmark, scored under ByteDMD.
- Challenge #2: Energy-efficient matmul. Minimum-energy 16x16 matmul on the Dally 2D grid.
- Challenge #3: Sparse parity on the grid. The same task in about nine grid instructions.
- Challenge #4: wikitext. Minimum-Joules language modeling on WikiText-103.
