Motivation
Continuation of the Sutro Group top-level thread, with a dedicated meeting prep scratch doc for the 16 March 2026 session.

Hardware lock-ins
Discussion of path dependency in hardware, contrasting SSD and non-SSD cases, with the recurrent laryngeal nerve used as an analogy for entrenched design choices.

Covered the planning sprint for the project roadmap.

The motivation
Building on the knowledge sprint, the group reviewed the Ding paper on data movement complexity as the basis for a better performance metric.
